Inspectors check systems are being maintained at the frequencies specified in relevant standards as agreed with customers. The inspectors also check that Intruder Alarm Maintenance is being carried out in compliance with standards.
All SSAIB approved companies meet the requirements of the police, through the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) Policy on intruder alarms, who will respond to confirmed alarm activations for monitored systems.
As SSAIB approved installers we comply with the Electronic Security Systems Certification scheme which demonstrates we operate a well managed, ethical business and are technically informed and competent in accordance with the requirements of the ACPO/ABI Sector Scheme.
The Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board was founded in 1994. It is a non-profit making company, governed by an independent Board representing various organisations with an interest in the security industry. Sonic Security Services were registered on the roll of approved installers on 1st December 1994, under membership reference NHAM4.
SSAIB check the following so that you don't have to:
Personnel have been screened to the relevant British Standard
Competence and experience of management and staff
Insurance cover is relevant to the level and nature of work undertaken
Premises are adequate for their activity
Their security of documentation and records is ensured
That best-practice standards are maintained.
That sufficient staff and resources are employed to provide the services offered
Compliance with all relevant standards and codes of practice
British or European Identity cards are carried.
