We are trained through industry recognised FIA courses which allows us to install, commission and maintain to fire protection standards.
Fire protection is invaluable when it comes to protecting premises or life. Prior, to making any decision process for a fire alarm, it is important to have a fire risk assessment carried out. The risk assessment will evaluate the risk and the level of detection required for the site, this could be a mechanical call point system, a life detection system or a building detection system. There are two types of fire detection systems, that we offer conventional and analogue addressable systems.
A conventional system is a fire alarm that identifies the activated detector or manual call point by a zone LED, this is different to the text message shown on an LCD display used for on an addressable system. If there are 30 devices within a zone it will not tell you exactly which device has activated in that zone it will be generalised, meaning the fault could be any one of those devices. These are ideal systems for smaller commercial properties. They are cost effective however, but are unable to identify which device has activated, something an addressable system offers.
An addressable fire alarm is a system that is capable of identifying each device on a circuit, whether it be a detector, manual call point, sounder or relay unit. Each device is given a unique identity usually in the form of a number. This unique number is then given a location text message during the programming of the system. This will generate a saving on future fault finding as our technician can identify which device is in fault within seconds and is cost effective in large or multiple building complex.
Wireless fire detection is an excellent solution when working with listed properties or where you require minimal disruption to your property.
We can manage your fire alarm system via our integrated building management systems platform.
Our NSI Gold Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) can remotely monitor your fire alarm system (and give you peace of mind) who can act quickly in the event of an activation covering customers fire risks 24/7 throughout the year.
Fire refuge systems are designed to meet the demand for BS 5839 Part 9 compliant disabled refuge, fire telephone and stadium marshalling systems. Current Building Regulations insist all new non-domestic buildings with more than one storey provide ‘refuge’ areas – safe places where people who cannot easily use fire escapes and evacuation lifts can call for assistance and wait until help arrives. Our system provides a simple, effective two-way communication in these areas to assist rescue teams in determining where assistance is required and to reassure people help is on the way. It can also be used by trained personnel in sports stadia etc to help ensure the orderly evacuation of people in an emergency.
Our Nurse Call System is the UK’s leading call system ideal for use in any private, commercial, residential or public sector building to allow the general public, staff or patients to call for assistance. We design systems using an extensive range of ancillary equipment which includes, but is not limited to the following:- ceiling pulls, call points, overdoor lights, remote sounders, relays and call latch modules to create systems for hotels, leisure centres, nursing homes, care centres, shops, offices and more. Not a second goes by without someone somewhere pressing one of our nurse call buttons.
